First Time at Keswick?

If you've never been to the Keswick Convention before, here is some information to help you...

Booking

There is no need to book or register – just come along and join us.

How much does it cost?

There is no charge to attend Convention, so we rely on your donations. We estimate it costs around £65 per person per Convention week and you can give at the event. Offerings are taken up during the morning Bible Readings (Mon-Fri) and Evening Celebrations (Sun-Fri).
Some concerts and drama performances are charged for and tickets for these are available from Reception during the event.

Where do I stay?

You will need to find and book your own accommodation as soon as possible as places in the town fill up quickly. To get you started click here…

What do I do when I arrive?

• Check into your accommodation. If you’re arriving on a Saturday the roads in and around Keswick will be busy, so please be patient!
• Get acquainted with the town. There are two supermarkets, bakeries, take-aways and plenty of places to eat.
• Buy the Handbook (available from Convention Reception or Moot Hall Tourist Information) which contains all you need to know about what’s happening during the Convention.

When does it all start?

• The first meeting is the Evening Celebration at 7.30pm on the Saturday in the Main Tent on Skiddaw Street.
• The Youth Programme starts with “Late Nite” at 9.15pm on Saturday at the Rawnsley site.
• K4K Kids Club starts on Sunday at 7pm for 8-11’s and Monday at 10.45am for 3-7’s.

Where are the meetings?

Basically at 2 sites; either the Main Tent on Skiddaw Street or the Rawnsley Site on Main Street. Click here for a map of the town.

How do I get to the different sites?

• A Convention minibus runs between the two sites, 45mins before and 30mins after the Morning Bible Readings and Evening Celebrations, with various other drop-off & pick-up points around the town. If you are driving in we would encourage you to park at the Rugby Club ground, or one of the other town car parks and either walk or catch the bus (for which there is no charge).
• Walk! It’s a leisurely 20 minute walk from the Rugby Club car park to Skiddaw Street and only 2 minutes walk to the Rawnsley site.
• Mobility Disability. If you are a disabled driver you can apply for a parking permit to park on Brackenrigg Drive to the rear of the Skiddaw Street site. Space is very limited and a park cannot be guaranteed. These permits cannot be used in any of the town car parks.

Can I bring my dog?

For health and safety reasons only assistance dogs are permitted on Keswick Convention sites and in meeting venues.

Where do I go to find out information once I arrive in Keswick?

The Reception Office on Skiddaw Street, manned by our cheerful and friendly Reception Team, is open every day to answer any questions.
